In conjunction with Red Rocks Community College and the CDPHE-WQCD, we have developed a new stormwater certification for the construction industry in Colorado, the Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) Administrator Certification.
The curriculum and learning objectives for this training program concentrate on the competencies for the designated, permit required, SWMP Administrator. The requirement for this designated individual (or individuals) focuses on their functioning as the contact for all SWMP-related issues, as well as their responsibility for its accuracy, completeness, and implementation. The level of proficiency for this individual(s) is such that they are required to possess the competencies necessary to adequately manage and direct day-to-day stormwater quality management activities at the permitted site.
This is a 2-day class and does have a prerequisite of prior BMP training prior to attendance. Certifications will be issued by Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) in Lakewood, CO. A representative of the CDPHE-Water Quality Control Division will participate in the training program.
This Certification Program is available for contract training. Open-enrollment classes will be offered at RRCC (Course Code: CETC-145).
